Cry If I Want To

I have another post up at CRN today, and you should totally go read it because it’s my birthday. You know what I really want for my birthday? Tons and tons of birthday wishes in the comments to help stroke my tender ego, and boost my low self-esteem. Also for my birthday, I think I’d like to not write very much.

  1. Happy Birthday. I'm going to assume you're older than me.

  2. I'll give to the shameless pandering, happy birthday. I don't feel good about myself though.

  4. Hey, Happy Birthday. Did you jump an age group or anything? That's always nice.

  9. Happy birthday! I have ordered a van full of balloons, strippers, and ponies on your behalf. Keep an eye out for it; you don't want to miss the b-day van.

  11. Happy birthday!! Don't partake of too much b-day cake, though. It'll fatten you up and mess with those speedier times you've been producing lately.

  15. Happy belated birthday. Sorry, I was so busy celebrating I couldn't send my well wishes on your actual birthday, but I'm sure you understand that your bday is a major holiday on the running blog circuit and many of us were loading up on our celebration beverage of choice in honor of you. How's that for ego stroking? (The beverage of choice, I should add, was O'Douls.)

  16. Happy Birthday, late I know, but hope you had a great day, and a great run to go with it.

  17. Even though you didn't pick up on my clue last week when it was MY birthday, Happy Birthday to you anyway. Mine's one week before yours (9/3) and I just turned 34. Does that make me one week older or one year and one week older? Either way, I'm always willing to provide any advice you may need, as your elder, you know.
