So what did you get?

Now that Christmas is over we can all stop talking about how it’s better to give than to receive and we can start boasting about all the great gifts we got. Did you get any good running gifts for Christmas? Go ahead, make us all envious. I tell you what, I’ll start.

I got all kinds of running apparel, cold gear, hot gear and gift cards to buy whatever-the-hell-I-want-gear, but the one thing that you’ll all be jealous of is the slap bands that I got in my stocking. Not just any slap bands, but reflective slap bands. They go on my wrists or on my ankles or anywhere I want to be reflective, and perhaps more importantly they make me want to do the Electric Slide. Come let me take you on a party ride. And I’ll teach you, teach you, teach you, I’ll teach you the electric slide.

  4. Only wish that I could have gotten some slap bracelets. Instead got Lore of Running by Tim Noakes and Again to Carthage. Good reading for post long running laziness.

  7. I got a Garmin Forerunner 305...

I sorta told Santa Christmas 2007 would be his last if I didn't get it...so for the sake of all those kiddos out there, I'm glad he did...

Sorry for deleting the other comment, but I had no idea my user profile name had been changed to "I'm Amy From"...what a dork.

  8. I got a long sleeve tech shirt and a book called "The Gift: A Runner's Story". I also got a gift card to Dick's to buy running gear. Can't wait to use that.

  9. I got the 305 also, for the most part, that is all I asked for. Since when it comes down to it, it comes from my paycheck. I was very suprised to get it. I was told that I already have a GPS unit and did not need another one. Well I got it.

  11. I probably know the lyrics to both Electric Slide AND the Macarena. I'm really pathetic.

I got: two new headbands and one pair of gloves for running in cold weather, a new sports bra, and... I guess that's it for running, but I got a bunch of general fitness/healthy things (Misto Olive Oil sprayer, various cookbooks and weight training books, weight lifting gloves).

I also got the Macarena stuck in my head. Aw, Marcy, you shouldn't have!

  15. A pair of reflective pants, scheels gift card, Dick's gift card, an iPod Shuffle, and $30 in Starbucks Gift cards. The last one has nothing to do WHILE I'm running, but it's my treat after a run.

  17. I got an entry fee to the Tokyo Marathon, airline tickets, a room at the Tokyo Westin and a $1000 gift card at my favorite running store.

No, just kidding. Running socks and a Runner's World calander just didn't sound as fun.
